Nuggets Watch: Reno teen to appear at Peppermill as retweets reach 3.3M

Fox 11 | April 25, 2017

RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The Reno teenager whose plea for a year's supply of free nuggets quickly went viral has arranged a public appearance for Friday.

Bishop Manogue student Carter Wilkerson reached 3.3 million retweets Tuesday in his quest for free Wendy's chicken nuggets, and he's been featured on "Ellen" and NASCAR racer Michael McDowell's car along the way.

Now, Carter will hold a #NuggsforCarter charity event at the Peppermill Casino Resort on Friday, April 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. to benefit non-profit organization Moms on the Run.

According to a spokesperson for the resort, fans can meet Carter at the Game Lab arcade and take a selfie with him. Anyone who shows proof of retweeting him can get $20 worth of free play at the arcade.

The Peppermill will also present a donation to Moms on the Run, a non-profit group that helps those battling breast cancer in Reno-Sparks.
