(April 9, 2015) — Billed as the fight of the century, eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and undefeated, five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will meet to unify their welterweight titles on May 2 and determine boxing’s No. 1 champion, pound-for-pound. A deal that was in the making for nearly five years and involved promoters, trainers, television networks and CEO’s has finally come to fruition, marking a once-in-a-generation showdown.

Peppermill will host a viewing party in their Tuscany Ballroom on one of Reno’s largest HD screens, a 30-foot television that will allow guests to feel like they’re sitting in the front row. Tickets can be purchased for $20 and include reserve seating and two drink tickets. There will also be casino-wide viewing throughout the property. Sports Book Director, Terry Cox, will be on- hand to assist with bets and provide in-depth background on both contenders.

“This fight is a slam dunk to break every revenue record in boxing history,” explains Cox. “Experts are guessing that it will gross more than $400 million.”

There is a lot at stake for both Mayweather and Pacquiao. Mayweather enters the fight with a 47-0 record and plans to retire after September. Pacquiao has 64 fights under his belt, resulting in 57 wins, 5 losses and 2 draws. Having any number besides zero in the loss column takes quite a bit of pressure off Pacquio, whereas Maywather is determined to go down in history with an undefeated score.
